I wanted to love this cover so much.. but I don’t. My last two covers were fabric trifolds and I loved how easy it was to open/close them but wanted something more secure. As the tectonic model is not available for my truck I ended up going with the Landmark Retractable cover.
-The installation videos were fantastic and easy to follow along with.
-Installation required two people but was easy enough.
After carefully installing the cover and ensuring that it was gliding smoothly we were happy with the install until…

-we realized that in the open position the totes that I always carry in the bed of my truck (at the cab and secured w a tension rod) don’t fit under the cover when it’s open (standard sized storage totes-nothing crazy). So the only way to get the totes deep in the bed of the truck and secured is if you army crawl in while the cover is extended/closed and try to install the tension rod while on your stomach in a dark truck bed.

Next, if you want to drive w the bed all the way open there is no way to secure the bed cover in that open position besides wrapping it up with the rope/strap thing. Insane that at $1500 there isn’t a mechanism to secure the cover in position besides tying it up w a loose strap.

-Next, even though the cover glided smoothly upon installation after a day or two of being locked in the closed position something changed. No matter how hard you shove from the bottom it won’t open. So we have to simultaneously punch down on the hinge at the locked area while pulling backwards on the strap.

-Because of the accordion design this cover is either open or closed. There is no in between. Mentioning this in case you are coming from a tri-fold design that allows you to cover part of the bed while having access to another part. I’m used to being able to travel with taller gas cans in the back of truck bed by the tailgate and still having the majority of the truck bed covered. That’s not possible w this cover.

-In the sales video they show how you can easily lock the bed cover into place while standing at the tailgate… that is not available on the cover I received (maybe bc I purchased the one w a keyed lock? The keyed lock is up closer to the cab) but this presents a problem bc you can’t easily lock the cover if there is any slack in it… and you can’t pull the strap to remove the slack from where the lock is located.

Anyhow, it’s a good looking cover when it’s extended but for me that doesn’t matter if it doesn’t function in a way that I can easily load, unload, access and protect whatever I have in my truck bed.

Hi ya’ll, I do like my Peragon retractable Tonneau cover. It looks great, keeps the rain out, and protects my stuff. I’m glad I bought it even if it was a bit pricey.

There are a couple down sides though. I got pretty frustrated during the install trying to get things square. That said, this was the first time I’ve ever installed something like this so I have nothing to compare it to, but it took me about 5 hours and a lot of swearing. I’m pretty handy too. The price is a bit high. The quality feels nice, but I’m also afraid to mess up and say drop something on it. I kinda treat it like a vase when I use it because it just feels so light. But who knows, when I finally get rough with it, I think it’ll hold up well.

That being said, I was leaning over it the other day and the metal billet on my jeans was leaning on the side rail. Now, given that I was having to wiggle around a bit, I wouldn’t be surprised from a scratch as I think it’s aluminum. I was surprised to see heavy gouges through the paint and deep into the metal though. I’m not overly heavy and I wasn’t putting a ton of pressure down.

All in all, it’s very nice and I like it a lot. If I had one thing I could change about it, I would say a little tougher metal for the side rails. Something that I won’t be scared to drop a screw driver on or a tape measure. I don’t want it to get all marred up from minor things. It definitely looks sweet on my F350 regardless, I just need to grind that gouge down a bit and hit it with some touch up paint.

Installation is difficult, much better products available for less cost. Open and close on unit is clunky and often requires extra effort from within the bed. Wouldn't buy again.

Ordered for my third gen Tacoma. Installation took two of us a little over two hours with clear instructions between the manual and video links provided.

We initially had trouble getting the actual cover to lock into the pins behind the cab. I reached out to Peragon via email and had a response within an hour of the next business day. Fortunately, we were able to fix the issue on our own--the hand strength ofan 80+ year old man and a fit woman wasn't sufficient to get that last bit of oomph necessary to lock the pins in place--by asking my brother-in-law to give it a go. He was able to manage it without a problem.

All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. My tonneau cover makes my life easier, keeps the streets cleaner when I'm hauling, and looks sharp.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up in the days ahead.

I'm very impressed with this bed cover.

First of all it is very well designed. It was the ONLY cover that met all my specs. So, when I say "designed" I don't just mean had good drawings for the factory to build it. I mean it was designed for users and for the real world. There are several nice little features which they don't brag about in marketing but they should. All the surprises were good ones.

Second, this thing was easy to install. I watched the video and read the manual. I was ready for it to be a lot more trouble than it was. It took less time than I expected and some of that was spent remembering where I left some of my tools.

Third, this thing is tough. It's rugged and just feels solid.

To say I'm happy with my choice would be an understatement.

My Tectonic cover is built like a tank. Installation was simple. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. It looks fantastic. The pallet it was shipped on was well thought out and securely packed. Yes, it was expensive, but "Buy Once Cry Once" definitely applies. Do yourself a favor, and buy it.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the Paragon Tectonic cover absolutely deserves one. It wasn’t cheap, but after owning it, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. The build quality is outstanding — solid, durable, and clearly made to last. Installation was easier than I expected, and once it was on the truck, it completely changed the look. I constantly get compliments and questions about it everywhere I go.

What really impressed me is how versatile and user-friendly it is. Adjusting the different configurations is simple, and removing it entirely when needed is surprisingly easy. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to aftermarket purchases, especially for my truck, and this is one of the few products that actually exceeded my expectations. I’ve already recommended it to five friends, and three of them ended up buying one themselves. That probably says more than anything else I could write.

Very satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

2024 ford f350 short bed. Very good cover. Easy install. Very rugged and weatherproof. Only part when water comes in the slightest is the tailgate but it’s not even enough to worry about for putting in a tailgate seal. Very happy with this cover and I think it will last a lifetime.
