The Peragon is exactly as advertised. The following comments are not meant to downgrade my evaluation, but hopefully help others.
1. Installation was not straight forward. It required un-installing, re-installing, multiple nut loosening and re-adjustments. Main issue was where I had installed the ramps vs. sliding the bolt into the rail. The ramp was in the way so had to un-install, remove ramp, slide bolt in rail, install ramp and install system. If your cover doesn't operate smoothly, loosen nuts, raise rails slightly, check front-to-back width, repeat until smooth operation.
2. The cover wouldn't "snap" into the right side of the front cross-member. I had to slightly bend the silver piece to get the system to seat properly. Yes, I was properly seated on the left side with the pin in the hole.
3. Side rail alignment was not straight forward. It took several iterations to get it right, requiring loosening of nuts and re-tightening.
4. The side rails sit mostly inside your bed rails. The cover side rails will reduce your bed opening slightly.
5. The side rails are fairly light weight (which is what we want, right?). If you bump into them too hard, grab onto them when falling, etc., they will bend.
6. Once I got the system to open and close easily, then the lock wouldn't engage. Had to do some fenagling (still not sure what finally fixed it) to get the lock bars to engage. With system installed, I can't see where they are supposed to engage, so that made it more difficult.
7. I've seen a lot of reviews/complaints of leakage. Through a car was, they do leak slightly. I'm sure it will get worse as they get older. I did not expect a hermetic seal so doesn't bother me too much. Maybe the website oversells the "keep stuff dry" aspect.
8. I installed the cover over a 5th wheel hitch. It fit which is one of my main reasons for purchase. You can remove the cover part entirely, but it's not necessary to remove the cover to use the hitch, at least with my hitch/5th wheel combination.
9. The long strap does get irritating, but I knew it was there and was willing to get irritated :). Kind of like marriage! You make your choices..
10. Love the low profile and the appearance of the installed cover. Once adjusted, works easily. I like that it can be closed/locked, opened yet still see out rear window, and can be removed for longer/larger loads in truck bed.
** Vehicle details which may have exacerbated my installation: plastic truck bed rail tops, bed rug, including up the sides of the bed. **

I got the Platinum edition cover for my RAM 1500. Cover went on fairly easy, watch the install videos and take your time and it's not a big deal at all. The cover looks good on the truck, I like the hard locking shell for security. I live in the PNW it rains a lot in the winter, the cover does leak a little water here and there but it's no too bad, I think all bed covers leak at least a little no matter which type or brand you get. I was a little surprised how much leaking I got through the rubber seals between the 1st and 2nd panel behind the cab during the snow. As the snow sat on the cover and began to melt in the sun, quite a bit of water leaked into the bed through the seal. Melting snow is not a normal issue in my area so I'm not too worried about it. I'm sure the seals weren't really designed for a couple inches of snow to sit there and melt. There's no where for the water to go and the truck was just sitting, if I was driving it and the water had somewhere to go maybe it wouldn't have been so bad. Other than that I really like the cover so far.

I've had one of these tonneau covers for years now, I like it, nice and sturdy. I had it come apart between panels a couple times pushing down to open it, but it was an easy fix, and probably caused by me pushing to close to one side rather than in the middle causing the pin to come out from the hole in the adjacent panel.

The one knock I have against it is it takes up 1/4 to 1/3 if your truck bed for the opening and closing action. Which is not good for when you want to load your truck up for camping or something like that, you can't fill that part of the bed.

I love this cover but for the money it should not leak at the collapsable joints. This is really my only issue with it. My only other issue that can be improved by Peragon is that it should have 1/2" fiberboard insulation on the underside of the cover in order to cut down on the heat that gets trapped inside of the truck bad on very hot days such as 90° weather. Other than these things it is a great cover.

INSTALLED ONE ON MY 2012 CHEVY SILVERADO WHEN IT WAS NEW ! WASN'T TO BAD TO DO IT BY MYSELF, IT WAS THE STACKING OF WASHERS YOU HAD TO GET RIGHT WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM SUPPORT ! HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE OUTER SEAL COMING OFF WITH THE HEAT HERE ! REPLACED AND ADDED GLUE WITH THE TAPE AND THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM ! THE BEARINGS NEED TO BE OILED UP GOOD AND SPUN EVERY COUPLE YEARS FOR BETTER OPERATION ! THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE NOW IS IT LEAKS WATER BETWEEN THE PANELS ! SO THOSE SEALS MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED ! IT DON'T RAIN MUCH OTHER THAN THE RAINY SEASON HERE SO MUCH OF THE YEAR ITS USUALLY DRY UNLESS I WASH IT THEN EVERYTHING HAS TO BE OUT ! OTHER THAN THAT 13 YEARS AND I,M SATISFIED WITH IT !

Generally pleased with the cover, fairly easy to install, looks great. Only complaint, and one that may resolve itself as it is worked in, is that it cannot be opened with one person. I push down after the first panel and it just kind of moves down on the side I am pushing and the passenger side does not also move down so they can be opened. It requires a person each side to begin making them collapse and move forward down the rails.

Pros-
Looks great
Secure
Reasonably easy install

Cons-
You can’t fill the bed and close it (or open it). This is the biggest one for me. We camp and need to secure a generator and bikes in the bed along with a few tools. The lid sections restrict the use of the last 20% of the bed near the cab making laying the bikes flat in the bed difficult.. This may cause is to get a different cover.
Although installation was ok, we've had to make adjustments several times in one area that seems to come off the rails frequently.

(If this review seems similar to another one it's because we had similar issues and I copied & edited his post because it saved me time.)

The bed Cover installed easily and was as described. I love the look of the bed cover and I am happy with my purchase, however, I have two issues that keep me from giving this a five star review. I would like it to be a little more sturdy.....what I mean is that my last cover could hold up to 500lbs and this one will not. My son ,11 years old sat in the center and it bowed it! I was able to straighten it back out, just disappointing. The second is that when you fold the cover up, if there is anything tall in the back of your bed (bucket of baseballs for example) the cover hits it and will not fold up properly without crawling under and pulling it forward. I would still choose this cover because it does pull out easily and it does look good! honestly think any cover with this design would have the same issue and overall it seems to be made well. It seems to keep water out well!

Put the cover on with quick clamps and after some fussing with positioning it worked really well. We then took a road trip and hit heavy rain, high cross winds and more. First my MPG went up by 1.7 mpg so that was great and second the storm stood no chance! The cover is solid and kept the luggage and things bone dry. Highly recommend this cover! Oh and the color is one to one. Love it! One down side may be the instructions, they seem to be the same for all versions. Minor complaint after the weather and challenges. I didn’t even mention the lock and soft close, all are great features.

The tie downs are amazing as well. Pulls nice on tighten and these are strong enough to hold a 75ft oak tree upright, though I don’t recommend felling this way :). Real deal awesome and made in the USA.

Love the concept of the Peragon cover and the fact it is made in America.

Quality of product: Overall quality is pretty good, packaging was good. Only complaint on quality is the piece of sheetmetal that connects the side rails at the front of the bed is pretty flimsy and the weather seal is inadequate.

Installation: I have installed covers on every truck I have owned and this one was the most difficult. Excellent instruction videos are available. After following instructions exactly the cover would not seal at the tailgate. Contacted Peragon for installation help and was told to decrease the spacing at tailgate 1/16" at a time until the cover seal will meet the tailgate. A sixteenth of an inch is pretty tight tolerance for a bed cover but I readjusted cover and seal still did not meet tailgate. Too make this adjustment you basically have to start all over with the install each time you want to make an adjustment. After the 2nd attempt failed I adjusted the rails for zero clearance at the tailgate and the seal mates pretty well. Total install time was about 4 hours.

Cover Operation & Performance: When closed the cover takes a fair amount of force to begin the opening process. It is difficult to get enough force applied and I am 5'10" and my truck is stock height. If I was shorter or if my truck bed was higher I probably could not get cover open without a step stool. Once started the cover is easy to push open and folds nicely in its rack. The gas shocks do a good job of holding the cover together when opened. As others have noted need to make sure your cargo does not interfere with the folding of the cover. I put a cargo bar just behind the cover ramps at a height that is the same as the bottom of the ramps. This way I can use the space under the cover for flat items but taller items cannot slide forward and block operation of the cover. Closing the cover is easy with the pull strap and the locking mechanism works without issue.

Leak Test: It leaks! A slight spray from the hose and there is significant leakage at the front corners, slight leakage along the rails and moderate leakage at the tailgate corners. Compare to other covers I would have to rate this cover below average for leakage. I believe that most of the leakage at the front could be solved with a stiffer sheetmetal front piece and a better seal (maybe a bulb style of strip like the type you install to seal the tailgate). Also note that since this cover folds into the bed any water or snow on the cover gets deposited in the bed as you open the cover.

Other comments: I really wanted to love this cover and thought it would compare well to other "premium" covers. I like the security it provides and the fact that I can use it with my 5th wheel hitch installed. Unfortunately it falls short based on my experience with other covers in the following areas. Leakage (most all covers leak some but this one is significantly worse) / Installation ease (Not horrible - great videos - took more time than others) / Insulation (cover is not insulated, but it was not advertised as being insulated so no intentional misleading statements. Most other "premium" solid covers are insulated which helps keep cargo cooler in summer sun and it looks like the Peragon cover could easily have foam panels glued on the underside of the metal panels).

I have had the cover installed about two weeks at this point and used it on one trip so far. Will update this review if new information comes up.

I just wanted to add my review to hopefully help others with my same situation. I knew this information when I bought the cover, but I didn't think it would affect me as much as it has already. The main issue is that in order for the cover to open/retract, you must push down the front panels. This means that there cannot be any cargo underneath that area above approximately 6" tall by approximately 24" from front of bed. I didn't expect this area loss to be as large, and in a short bed truck, that space becomes valuable when packing for a 2 week long, 4,000+ mile road trip with a family of 4. Yes, you can shove it all in and dig it all back out from the back, but that becomes very annoying when you realize that the box that your 6 year old needs to get into is in the front of the bed. Also the design of the panels on the bottom side causes issues trying to open the cover if something is too tall or something shifts and it catches on the under side of the panels. It is probably difficult to make them flat top and bottom though.

One other minor thing is because my truck is so tall (2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon), my wife has a hard time pushing down the panel to get the cover to open due to her height (or lack thereof). This was not really a thought I had when I purchased the cover. It is getting a little easier to open with time, but when it was brand new, even I had a hard time getting it open with the resistance of the gas shocks.

Other than those issues, the cover is very nice and it looks and works great for day to day use purposes. I didn't figure out the issue with not being able to pack as much stuff in until after the 100 day return period, so I am just figuring out how to make it work. Will probably buy a bed rack to put items on that don't need to be protected under the cover, like coolers, grills, etc. I'm just adding this review to hopefully help out someone in the future from having the same experience as me. Basically you lose the front 2 ft of your bed under the cover if you need to be able to open the cover.

Great look and sturdy. Love it so far, one small issue is it does leak slightly from the last panel at back of bed. It does say though that it is not waterproof so I expected slight leak by somewhere. I just recently installed my truck bed cover and the install took me a little over 2 hours. Some of the instructions were vague on the measurements and the tools could have been packaged/labeled differently to help a consumer set it up. I also experienced troubles on the first few openings with the rubber stoppers shredding when closing the cover. After a few uses my cover slides easier but I did experience minor leakage during a storm. I have yet to install my tailgate seal so maybe that was the case but overall a good experience and great visual appearance.
