I'd like to begin by saying that I believe my Peragon bed cover was the single best modification I have added to my F150. It is stylish, functional, reliable, and secure. It is the most affordable hard-cover available and is more user-friendly than some retractable covers at twice the price. Peragon's customer service and available resources are second to none. When you call them, their automated answering devise informs you that you are about to receive excellent customer service, then without delay it connects you to a live person! They were helpful and supportive, best of all, they knew their product inside and out.

I purchased the basic black cover with the dual deadbolt (single lock with two rods) and I was very impressed with how positively the rods lock into place. The first time you lock your cover, you will know this security measure is not window-service. Another of my top favorite details is that I did not lose precious bed space (5.5' bed) to a cartridge or housing for the cover when it is not in use. In fact, the cover can be completely removed from the bed in seconds while leaving the tracks in place, making re-installation just as quick.

I could go on about the positives, but many of them can be safely assumed. I would instead like to highlight some possible areas for improvement and from those, you can assume everything else is simply the best.

Installation- They accurately claim that the installation will take you about three hours from box to completion. I performed the install myself with some basic tools in that time. Another set of hands would have helped, but they weren't available and it didn't hinder the results. There is, however, one part of the installation in which I do see some room for improvement. The L-brackets which I bolted to the inside of the bed-rail did not naturally form an angle parallel to the floor of the truck bed. The installation videos encouraged bending them into a level position, but the bed rail bent easier than the brackets did. That strength is necessary, I would NOT recommend weakening them for any reason. But after stacking washers atop these L-brackets to properly position the tracks over the bed rails, I got to thinking that while redesigning these brackets to self-align may be tough, making them self-space from the top of the bed-rail wouldn't be that difficult. Besides stacking washers, then attempting to tighten all four locations without pulling the tracks out of alignment, the rest of the installation was easily accomplished. Peragon even thought through the safety of the components in the installation process and built the packing material to perform double duty and support them above any work surface during assembly.

Another small area for improvement is the rubber caps on each end of the tracks. They cover the track itself, but do not fully seal the end of the track assembly. I ended up cutting a small piece of foam rubber to insert into the places where air, and the dust and water that it tends to carry, could infiltrate. Re-imagining the caps to match the full profile of the track assembly would give it a cleaner appearance and also assist with the integrity of the enclosure.

The cover is strong yet light weight. I trust it to stay closed while traveling down the road while either locked or unlocked via the deadbolt. That being said, the panels do visibly flex under the pressure of the wind while rolling down the highway. The flex may have zero consequence, or it may work the track system loose over time. I can't say. And I acknowledge that adding an additional rib to the under side of each panel (or a few perpendicular ribs) would add weight, possibly negating the benefit of rigidity. It just caught my attention.

And finally, this cover operates in the fully open, and fully closed positions only. I was aware of this prior to making my purchase and am NOT disappointed in the least. But by relocating the deadbolt to the tailgate end of the cover, you may be able to strategically place receivers for the deadbolt at intervals down the track, allowing for the cover to be operated in a handful of partially-open positions. This would allow the user to leave lumber out over the tailgate, or the handle of a lawnmower protruding from the bed while still shielding other lighter and smaller items from the wind.

After seeing all of the thought that went into the design, marketing, and support of your product, I assume many of these items have already been considered and foregone due to their impact on some other aspect of your fine cover. But in the case that they hadn't been considered, I wanted to make the friendly suggestions.

Thank you for creating such a superior product. I will be recommending it to my friends and acquaintances whenever a truck is purchased, and if my current cover does not fit my future truck(s), I will be back for another.

My wife and I installed the cover in approximately 3 hours, we took our time and had no issues at all. The cover operates flawlessly. It will meet our needs and I am sure will give us years of services. The cover is very durable with the stainless steel hardware and dual deadbolt. Thank you for a wonderful product.

Of the 4 types of tonneau covers (clamshell, tri-fold, retractable, and accordion [Peragon]), I feel the Peragon is the best all around solution. The custom color option is a perfect enhancement to anyone who takes pride in the look of their truck. Installation requires attention to detail. In addition to the instructions, a laptop computer on your workbench to watch the installation videos really clarifies each step. The most difficult step is knowing how many washer spacers to use at the mounting points for 3/16" rail clearance. After the side rubber seal is in contact with the truck side rail, there should be a downward slope to the rubber seal. If not, add more washers. I did not need to make a call to customer support. Just follow the directions carefully and you'll have a beautiful installation. I couldn't be more pleased.

I love my bed cover! Easy to close and easy to open. What more could I ask for? I love the way it looks when it's closed. I thought I'd regret not getting the color match but the but the black cover is a nice contrast to my Red Rock Metallic Chevy Colorado (2016). Also, the staff at Peragon was very helpful and responded to all my inquiries in a timely manner. I loved doing business with this company. If I had another truck I'd be buying a second cover ;).. Thanks guys!!!

Great Christmas gift from my wife! After lots of research, I determined that the Peragon Truck Cover was the best for the money and for the looks of my 2015 F150 Super Crew. The installation was a breeze after watching the videos and with a little help from my son, it was installed in about 3 hours after fitting and adjustments. Very sleek look, Does not make any noise while riding and keeps most of the rain out. Had to adjust / tweak just a little another day, but works great. Easy on and easy off with removing for big items. Snowed and iced last week and kept the bed dry. I recommend this cover for anyone looking for a Made in the USA reliable and durable cover.

I bought the Paragon retractable truck cover for my Nissan Titan. I am very happy with my purchase It was easy to install and it looks very professional.
I had a Tonno cover on my last truck and I didn't like it you would have to remove the whole thing to haul big items. With the retractable cover it is so much more convenient to push back and take off when I have large items. The paint also matches my truck perfectly.

Before I purchased, I had a few questions and called the # and left a voicemail. I received a prompt call back the next day which was nice. After ordering, I received the cover in a short 2 days. For installation, I reviewed the videos and manuals which were very helpful. I will say, that the newest manual tailored for the 17 Honda Ridgeline does appear to be off in a few minor places and caused some confusion. Despite that, i really like the product. It is easy to use and looks sharp. I can also attest that it is solid as i drove from Pennsylvania to Alabama recently after install and I didn't hear any kind of noise. I would highly recommend the product as it was the best value considering cost, durability and functionality that i could find for my truck and my needs.

I've had the cover for over a month. Installation was easy. It is quiet on the freeway. It's gone through a few car washes, snow, and freezing conditions overnight. The paragon cover looks perfect.
I bought the cover with the dual bolt option to secure and protect all my skis, snowboards, and gear while on the mountain. I like that I can still open and close the tailgate while the cover is locked down. Everything wet goes in the bed; and everything dry in the cab.
In my opinion, it's the best cover on the market in it's price range.

I ordered my 2017 Ridgeline and decided that I needed a truck bed cover. Living in northern Wisconsin I looked for a rugged cover that could handle the tough winters. My research led me to the Peragon hard cover. However, I noticed a note on the Peragon website about limiting the ability to open the trunk inside the bed of my Ridgeline. After more research I found the Ridgeline Ownersclub blog. There I found many happy Peragon owners as well as pictures showing the trunk open after the Peragon cover was installed. I could see first-hand that the cover was not going to limit access to the trunk so I ordered a black cover for my Luna Silver Ridgeline. The black cover beautifully complements the black trim on the truck. Since the temperature was 7 degrees outside and 29 degrees in my garage, I assembled the unit in my house and then carried it out to the garage with the help of my wife. It took about 1.5 hours to attach it to my truck. I loved the fact that Peragon included a bit to loosen the side rail screws. This meant that I had to drill zero holes. I made a few calls to Peragon Support. They promptly and patiently answered every one of my questions. This has been one of the best companies with which I have ever dealt. When I look at my Ridgeline with its new Peragon cover, I am reminded of the line from the movie Jerry Macguire, “You complete me.”

Pair O Peragons!
I bought a Peragon for my 2013 and installed it with ease.
My brother in law saw it and got one for his 2016, and I installed it as well.
Due to the configuration of his factory drop in bed liner, his does not fully collapse to the front of the bed - the pins & upper portion of the gas struts contact the liner on both sides.
We are both very pleased with the Peragon bed cover.

I'm over 70 years old and not particularly mechanically inclined, so I took it slow, read the instructions, watched the video several times for each step, reread the instructions, and with the help of my nephew mounted the cover in just a little over two hours and it looks and works great. I do have the CMS (the rails with the adjustable cleats - no idea what CMS stands for), so I didn't even have to drill any holes! Thanks a lot, Peragon.

My first review of the bed cover. Just finished the install on the bed cover on my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500. Took about 6 hours; a good bit of that time was reviewing the install videos from time to time. The instruction book was comprehensive and easily understood but the videos really helped in some of the areas. Between the two everything fell into place. It is a good solid unit that works easily and smoothly and looks great on my truck. I saved about $500.00 compared to purchasing the bed cover at the local truck accessories shop and I don't believe that their unit would have been any better.
I am going to give it a couple of years and will write another review on how it has held up. I expect it to be positive as well.
As for as customer service goes; I didn't have to call with any problems but I did get a call from customer service just a little while after the unit was delivered to insure me that they were there for me if needed. You can't beat that kind of customer service.

After through research I decided on the Peragon. Installation was as easy as the video's indicated and I took my laptop to the shop and followed along with each one. Only reason I only gave a 95 on installation was the first time I rolled the cover back after setting the rear, one of the rollers slipped off, and it took quite a bit of time and effort to get things back "on track". Not sure why it happened and it hasn't been a problem since. Love the look, and sweeping snow off the cover is a lot easier than shoveling it out of the bed.
I did put a adjustable load bar in back of the ramps to solve the problem of things sliding to the front and making opening difficult. This has worked well, and saved me a couple times from having to crawl under the cover to move them before pushing down the cover for opening.

Time constraints led me to dropping off the cover and truck at a local, highly recommended truck accessory shop. I picked it up late that afternoon. They said it was the first time to see a Paragon cover and that it took about 2.5 hours to install. It looked great! It has, since that time endured 16 hours of continuous rain, temperature from 45º to -8º, and 6" of snow. It operates smoothly in all conditions and only an ounce or two of rainwater got inside. It's secure gorgeous, and I love it!

Do not buy this cover unless you are just going for looks and not function.

Let me start by saying this is the second time I have tried to add a negative review on this product as for some reason the first negative review did not post, I won’t say anymore on that.

The positives:

The cover looks very nice

OK now for the negatives:

If you decide to load the truck with the cover open plan on losing 24 to 26 inches of space in the front of the truck otherwise the cover won’t close. You then get to unload everything close the cover, climb into the truck on your back and push the items to the front, folds closed to 8 inches true but they don’t tell you lose over 2 feet of loading space. Emailed with customer service their solution buy a cargo bar or a cargo hook. Design rating 0

It leaks while it does state it is not water tight I for sure did not think it would leak as bad as it does. Do not haul anything in the rain especially cardboard boxes or they will be ruined. I am sure their solution would be to use plastic storage containers, like buying a cargo hook.

The quality is questionable I have had my cover for about 6 or 8 months and the rear wheel that rides in the track has somehow disappeared out of the bracket. I spoke with customer service and the company’s solution; they are sending another bracket where I then have to drill out the rivets and replace the bracket with screws and nuts to hold it in place. Well one more thing to worry about with this cover how often do I have to tighten or retighten these of it doesn’t fall out again.

The cover has never really “broken in” as they have stated so when I push the cover it sticks so have to walk around the back of the truck to push the cover and then hits a certain point and slams open. The company did tell me to call them after I fixed their quality problem drilling out the bracket and they would assist.

If you do ride with the cover open make sure you tie it otherwise it will open about foot then then when you put on the brakes it will slam on itself so not really sure on how long my one positive comment will last.

I bought this cover after reading all of the positive reviews so if anyone wants to read the reviews and buy one please contact me and I will happily sell you this one cheap as I will getting rid of this cover and buying something that I can load, something that doesn’t leak or at least leak as bad, and something made with quality products and parts.

Oh and I am saving this review in case I have to post it for a third time.
