Not a DIY project if you have a long bed. Also, the price for that is closer to $1000. Recommend pro - install if you can afford it. There are six brackets, very hard to correctly align. Installing the "spacer" washers is a bloody nightmare. Not enough included in my kit. Had to buy more from a hardware store. My initial install was a little low so I ripped the trailing edge weather strip when I closed the tailgate. Be careful with this. No matter how careful you are, there is always variation in the bracket final positions, making alignment even harder. I spent about 5 hours on initial install, and another 2 hours later trying to re - align. Removal and installation of the cover is difficult. Since I have a long bed, it's MUCH heavier than expected. The rollers tend to snag on the ramps when removing and the little shock absorbers are extremely hard to reach. For long bed, do not remove the cover unless absolutely no other choice. The instructions are adequate but vague and the videos are several years out of date. Opening and closing is a bit harder also because of the long bed. Once the installation headaches are out of the way, I'm still glad I bought this cover. I wanted a rigid cover to stand up against wind and snow. Although the panels are light gauge aluminum, so you better not put anything heavy on top of it. Also, because it's exposed metal, it absorbs heat and becomes a branding iron when in the sun for a while. I almost burned myself a couple times already. It's a very good - looking cover. Much neater than others. Water resistance is about the same as other covers. I like that it can be locked with a key for added security. Sliding the cover open and closed is a bit harder due to the added length, but very convenient way to quickly get the cover out of the way when you need to.

great cover, easy install. I have to be sure and push down in the center of the bed to open or sometimes the first bearing will come off track. probably an adjustment issue I'll fix but not a big deal. overall I'm highly impressed

What can I say? Well I did a ton of research on tonneau covers, and Peragon is by far the best. I wanted a hard top cover, Peragon gave me that. I wanted to be able to use my truck bed with the cover open, and not block my view, Peragon gave me that. I wanted something low profile and that looked good, Peragon gave me that too. This cover is great, and it was really easy to install. I got the quick clamps, so I wouldn’t have to drill any holes in my new truck. I watched the install videos prior to receiving my cover and once the cover arrived, I was able to install it fairly quick. I strongly recommend this cover.

I spent weeks researching the tonneau covers. I didn’t want a soft one, but the hard ones were just too expensive, especially if you wanted a good one.

Then I saw Peragon. I was done searching. I had to save a bit more cash, but it’s nicer than any of the hard covers I’ve ever seen.

You know how they have burger commercials in which the food looks waaaaay better than the food you actually get at the restaurant? Peragon isn’t like that. The cover looks great, works perfectly, and the instructions make it look exactly as easy to install as it actually is. No question.

If I had another truck, I’d be buying another Peragon cover.

So there are alot of truck bed covers out there. But not like the one from Peragon. Durable and secure are the first two things that come to mind. The finish is also great. I was really apprehensive about self install. Their video tutorials were spot on. I took my time and the install was perfect. I love it.

Great product Great service. The cover arrived and I installed it the same day. Watching the videos to install it made it a breeze. I love being able to have something to cover the bed of my truck but also use the bed when needed. I had a problem getting it closed at first, contacted customer service and had the issue resolved in 5 minutes. I recommend this product to anyone who is thinking of covering their bed.

I had looked at a variety of “tri-fold” covers as well as a one piece fiberglass unit. Anyway, Peragon caught my eye as it folded almost completely flat against the bed and looked like it removed easily.

My son and I got everything installed in less than an hour (just make sure to lay all the components in a big/flat area). The tolerances on the rail system are super precise - once we got the brackets positioned (again, precisely - use your phone as a level) the rails were perfectly positioned.

Once in, the cover seems to do a great job of sealing tight. We haven’t been in a downpour but my “hose test” didn’t result in any water making it into the bed.

Would definitely recommend this cover!

Very good product. Easy install. I thought that thickness of the aluminum would be an issue and be flimsy too. Not the case. The seals between the panels are water tight. Great Product!!

I had this same cover on a used vehicle i purchased. So when I bought my 2019 F-150 it was a no brainer. Install was simple enough but I second guessed myself when it came to leveling the rails as my kit didn't come with extra washers. And didn't explain the extra washers in the paper directions. So if anything could be better I would suggest an update to the paper or to the videos. Oh and the packaging of parts did not come in the continuous bag that says start here. But if you have any mechanical bone in your body this is not even an issue. I give 4.9999 stars. Just need to update instructions. Install was a 2 and would have been a 1 if I had an extra set of hands.

Solid cover and great value compared to the competition. I'm a repeat customer, the first cover I had was on a 2013 Silverado, and now I'm sporting the cover on a 2018 Tacoma. Solid build, so long as you use it within reason (it isn't designed to support weight on top, and by my estimate it doesn't seem like it would bear any significant load, especially while moving).

A few points for improvement on the cover:

1. Both of my trucks were white, and I was interested in the Arctic White, however $200 seems like a bit much of an up-sell just to go white. Given the popularity of white trucks and the lack of comparable tonneaus on the market that can color match, it seems like Peragon could stock up on the white paint and offer it as a no-cost option. I had the standard black on my Silverado and ordered it again for the Tacoma, it looks sharp but shows dust and gets hot in the Southwest sun. I spent $40 on a roll of white vinyl wrap from Amazon. It probably isn't as durable as the powder coat, but it keeps the Peragon scratch free and doesn't show the dust as bad as the black. For the price I think it beats Peragon's upsell, and it allows me to keep the rails of the cover black (so it matches the factory plastic bed rails) and provides some contrast for the cover.

2. The Tacoma comes with a factory internal bed rail with sliding cleats for cargo management. Peragon states in the instructions that it needs to be removed. While I removed the factory cargo management system for the install, I was able to re-install it over the Peragon mounting hardware with some longer bolts purchased for a few dollars from Home Depot. The cargo management system on the Tacoma is pretty useful, I think Peragon should look a little more carefully at the Tacoma model and tailor its instructions and mounting hardware to accommodate it.

3. There is a photo on the Peragon website of a Tundra with bed cross rails mounted over the Peragon tonneau. I can't seem to find any such solution for a Tacoma. Given the inability of the cover to bear weight, I think Peragon would profit nicely if they were able to come up with some form of integrated cross rails that could be sold as an addition to the cover in order to stack heavier items over the cover. Removable rails would be preferable so as to still allow for their removal as well as that of the tonneau to allow full access to the bed.

Other than those three points, I think the Peragon is a great cover. It has a solid, smooth build (on both trucks it was stiff for the first week or so, but once broken it it operates great). I have no problems recommending it to anyone.

This is my second cover from Peragon. I was so impressed with how my old cover looked after 3 years, how it complimented my 2016 F-150... that there really was no other choice to go with for my new MOOSE. :-) From the super nice sales people, to the realistic delivery time and simple installation... I don't think you can find better value for a cover then Peragon. I have gotten more compliments about the cover than any other part of the Raptor. The precision made parts made it really easy to install, with videos online if you are doing it for the first time...I feel like a senior installer by now, being that this is the 2nd one 4 me :-) With most of the other car covers on the market made oversees, it also makes me happy and proud to be buying AMERICAN MADE!
