Very pleased with my recent purchase of the Peragon Tonneau Cover. Mine is for the 2019 Chevy Colorado short bed. I found all the packaging and unpacking process very easy and very simple to get started. I loved the instructional videos too, I brought my laptop out to the garage and played them step by step as I went through the install and very rarely had to refer to the instructional booklet that came in the box. Only a few omissions that I would have found helpful in the videos for my model, namely the installation of the gas-spring pistons and any mention about possible issues with the pistons not fully extending to be able to lock in the locking rod. After a quick call to Peragon, they not only told me of the possible solution, but shipped me stronger pistons the same day for free - very professional call for sure. One recommendation I would make regarding the spacing washers is that the spacers could be larger (various sizes of solid metal with only the need to use a few washers). I ended up having to go to Lowes to buy a box of washers to add to the stack in order to get a good spacing distance on the L-Bracket and it was a bit cumbersome to have to hold 10 plus washers in place while inserting the guide bolt down through the stack of washers. I think a single one-inch (or 1/2 inch) hollow block would work better for larger spacing and only need to add a few of the washers for fine-tuning. My install took about 4 hours (a more professionally inclined person could probably do it quicker). I had the drill-in version, so was extra nervous about drilling into my truck sides to secure the guide rails, but it worked out fine. One think that could be talked about in the videos is how a spray-in bed liner impacts installation (drilling is a little tougher and the included tailgate seal doesn't seem to work along the bed of the truck without a smooth surface to adhere to. No issues with the vertical installation of the tailgate seal though as the spray-in liner doesn't reach around that far. I have just installed it, so I can't really comment on durabilty that well, but seems like a very solid material and the paint is well done. Lastly, the rubber plugs that install into the flat portions of the panels seem to rub on the rails and pop out often, but removing them doesn't seem to have much of an impact other than a little rub when the panels are collapsed. I think some sticky rubber cushions could be added for a minimal cost to the same effect as they are covered by the rail system and not exposed much to the elements of weather. Overall, great product so far, would highly recommend this product.

Great Tonneau!! I’ve been in the truck accessories industry for a while and this one stands out above all the competition if you want a hard tonneau like me!

It’s key to read the instructions and watch the videos online. Setting the mounting brackets to 1 degree will save you any hassle you would have otherwise for operation.

I’m recommending this to all my friends!

Easy install, great look, no drilling with the new clamps. This the only hard cover I know of that can be opened if your tailgate freezes shut (happens up here in northern Washington often) to allow you to get your hands into the Inside of the tailgate to hep open the tailgate.

I like the overall design of this cover. Particularly on the Honda Ridgeline you have to do multiple adjustments before, during, and after installation. The cover is NOT watertight on this truck but Peragon tells you this beforehand. Craftsmanship is top notch and everything was packaged well. The package arrived well before the original estimated ship date. I highly recommend this cover for the Ridgeline just have patience installing it. Thanks

First time truck owner and looked around at a bunch of covers and decided on the Peragon --> for the ease of use, looks, and generally very positive reviews. Also price point is great.

Have had it for 4 weeks now, through both rain and snow, and have used the quick release a few times. It does a good job at resisting the elements, but it is not 100% rain proof. Recommend wicking the extra water off before opening unless you want to dump that water into your bed.

Pros - generally easy to install, with some additional effort needed for following some of the directions. Feels extremely solid and easy to open/close/lock (after a break in period). Quiet on the road. Haven't noticed a huge difference in gas mileage but I drive relatively aggressive.

Opportunities - I think some attention to updating the instructions would be great. My next comments are small/nitpicky. Instructions mention installing the rubber caps, but the version I received already had them on. Box also did not have all of the hardware in "marked" bags according to the videos, but all were there for the install. Maybe adding in a small clip on the underside of the cover that'll enable someone to wrap the strap around and lock it in place when removing so using as a handle is even easier.

Overall very happy with the purchase and have recommended to others.

Will eliminate a lot of usable space in your bed. What most people do not realize is that the cover will make the front 1/3 of your bed not usable. I was transporting a few boxes of christmas decorations and had the boxes pushed forward toward the cab since the entire bed was filled. Well when it came to unloading i had to crawl up into the bed and try to pull out the boxes because they were getting crushed by the mechanism of the cover itself. Nothing can be anywhere close to the front 1/3 of the bed or you will not be able to open this cover. Also water leaks a lot. I understand that all beds leak but this one leaks a lot. Also before you get this cover remember to think about the accessories you want to put into the bed as this will once again be in the way. I have a bed extender and it does not fit in-between the rails when i try to flip it open or closed. Installation was ok but all the metal parts came super sharp. I cut myself on the aluminum parts several times and then a few times after when using the bed it seems like there is no process of grinding or sanding the edges of metal parts. The cover looks good and customer service is great but in all honesty i have given it a chance for over a year and overall I think you lose too much bed usability. Also i wish they had some sort of a way to clip the unit closed when trying to remove it. Since I’m passed the 100 days i will most likely ebay this Cover since it has really not worked for me at all

Material quality is outstanding, dimensions fit very well. Instructions and video were very helpful. Finished product had a slight sag in first panel but that is normal until the seals form to the closed position. Would recommend to any one interested in a truck bed cover.
