I recently bought a used 2011 F-250 Super Duty King Ranch that had a competitor's aluminum slat retractable Tonneau cover installed. The cover gave me fits because it didn't fit well and wouldn't stay latched. It took up one foot of a short bed as well as almost impossible to take out without completely dismantling the cover. I sold it for scrap and purchased a Paragon folding cover with no-drill hardware. The installation was a breeze following the instructions and videos.

My reasons for buying a folding cover were simple, compactness when opened, security when closed and ability to remove it without a second person. It's sturdy, looks great installed on a truck painted Ford's Tuxedo Black and while I did not purchase the cover to keep my bed dry, it keeps it almost 100% dry. I didn't buy the tailgate seals because the tailgate has a step in it and is heavy. I put pneumatic tubes on it, one on each side, so my wife can close it. The tubes don't leave much clearance for weatherstripping on the sides of the tailgate. I'm sure I could figure out a way to seal it if needed, but like I said, I wanted security over dryness and a little water around the tailgate doesn't hurt the way I use the truck.

So my journey stated off in January of 2020 when I did my research and found Peragon. Based on many videos (installation and reviews) and the need to keep my dive gear easily accessible and securely stowed while stopping for a bite to eat after a long dive day. My choice was made. I submitted my order online and shortly got a e-mail back from a salesman to check my bed length so I did and they saved me a unintended mistake. My delivery date was not what I expected, end of April 2020, just about the time I am taking a dive trip to the keys (thanks COVID-19 for messing that up :) ). But the bed cover did arrive a week before my scheduled trip, so it would have been fantastic.
Installation:
The boxes were heavy and a bit cumbersome to move around, but when i opened them up it was like Christmas day. Seeing the color matched perfectly with my truck. A lot of parts and looked a bit intimidating at first, but once I started the assembly the various bags of bolts and nuts quickly disappeared. I thought the hardest part would be squaring up the frame with the bed of the truck, but it really wasn't or I got really lucky. I had a minor adjustment to one of the center frame mounts to make the rolling of the cover a bit smother. The whole installation took about 2 hours, would have been less, but summer seemed to come early to Florida, it was 93 degrees and 1000% humidity on that day. The manual says the seals need some breaking in, and when I closed the cover the last panel did not fully extend. I had to crawl under the cover and push up the panel to get the lock to turn. This is where my only issue occurred. The key would not turn the lock the cover into place. I removed the cover for the first time, after you know where to have your fingers and the correct positioning, the cover is VERY easy to remove and re-assemble. To fix my lock issue, I just had to loosen up the nut that was holding the lock in place, after that the lock moved very easy and did not jam anymore.
I don't know how many of you have driven in a newer F-150, but the noise level is crazy low. You can dive with windows open and still be fairly quiet. I took a dive with the new cover on and there were still no rattling or unexpected noises coming from the cover, even on a road that was pretty rough, the cover was not making any noise what so ever. Took it through a car wash and there was a little water in the bed, but nothing that I would be worried to have any luggage locked up.
I have had this cover for a few weeks and I would definitely recommend this cover and I am looking towards putting some more miles on this new truck and cover.

Great Product! I have minor installation points that could be improved.

I marked ease of installation at 80, not because it was hard, but because the online videos and manuals are contradicting each other. The videos are generic for all trucks while the manual is specific to the make and model ordered. I wish the manual had noted that the online videos were more generic than the manual. The online videos never mention “taping” the driver and passenger seals while the manual does. Page 11 of the manual says to tape the side rail seal and it says refer to Video #6 for taping. Yet video #6 online does not mention taping at all. Additionally, my manual was missing page 10. It went right from page 9 to page 11. I do not think any actual pages were missing but they were numbered incorrectly.

The product is great, however these are my suggestions. Thank you for a great cover and I would recommend to a friend!

Best truck bed cover I have ever had, or seen. A co-worker purchased one a little over a year ago, so I had a great access to observation prior to my purchase (I knew I would be trading in my truck, so this worked out perfect). Both myself and my friend are pretty particular about our vehicles and tools, and there was not one aspect of the Peragon products we did not like. I have already had two other friends ask me about my cover, and I have only had it on my truck two weeks.

I think this unit is great. Was having a problem with the installation, but it was operator head space and timing. Insure you read the directions throughly and don’t skip and sections and it will be easy. Also I thought the installation videos they have were great. Love it.

Great cover and fairly easy to install. The installation videos were great. Less than a week after installing the cover I drove through an extremely heavy rain pour and almost no water got into the bed of my truck. If you are in need of a bed cover I would suggest this one.

I owned my last truck for 11 years and had gone thru two plastic covers before I found Peragon. The plastic covers could only take a few years in the Florida sun and they would crack; when I switched to Peragon my problems were solved. When I bought my new truck a Peragon cover was the first accessory I put on it.

Over all not bad if you are good with basic tools and fallow the videos on YouTube. The total installation time was 2 hours and later made some adjustments that took a couple minutes. Customer service was great, Made in the USA!! No Chinese junk
