have not had cover on truck long and can tell it is of good quality then the cheap vinyl one that has been on truck for 5 years.instructions are pretty easy to follow did have a little problem with getting cover to act right when installing it for the first in the slots at front i was going at it wrong so my fault.cover looks good on truck to be just plain black on blue truck really no need to paint to match truck unless that is what you want.will purchase again for future trucks.

I love the looks of the cover and the ease of use. Peragon customer service is very helpful if there is any issues. My only complaint is the weather strip for the front of the cab that needs to be put on by the customer. It would be nice if that was already installed and the customer had to trim a little bit for fit. I have showed this cover to many of my friends with trucks and they are very intrested in ordering one when they can. Thank again for making a great cover.

My Peragon has exceeded my expectations so far. It is gorgeous, strong, and super easy to operate. I chose it because it has the durability of an all metal design, is removable like the soft tops and folders, and has no springs to go bad like most canister models. The choice boiled down to Peragon, and a canister model with all bearings and no springs. I went for the Peragon because my bed is only 5.5 ft, and I could not afford to dedicage another foot to the tonneau - plus the Peragon is half the price.

Installation was not complicated, but it takes time to do it right. I watched each short video twice, and then performed that step. The tolerances are tight, which is good, but that means that you really need to measure accurately. To get the mounting clamps level, for instance, I used a bubble level and phone level together. I also used a torque wrench to tighten all bolts.

When it was finally time to place the top in the truck I was afraid that things were too tight. The first few pulls took some effort, but that is because the bearings need to be in light contact with the sides. Over a few days, it became much easier to open and close.

The design is an engineering marvel. It is hard to appreciate that all of the bearings have to enter the track when open, but half must be able to leave the track as the top folds/accordians. It's amazing that they can mass produce such an item, and it always work.

If I had to do over, I would definitely buy another Peragon.

I love my bed cover, but...there is no way for a 5'3" female to open it on their own. If you are tall enough to reach to the middle, you may be able to do it. If I want to open mine, I have to get on one side and my mom on the other side to push the panel down. Then I usually have a 3rd person to push it open. No way can I reach the back panel while pushing down on the first panel. Really haven't tried pulling the rope while pushing down, so maybe I could open with 2 people. Other than not being able to open it by myself, I love it. Have thought about getting a different cover that I can open, but I can't find any that I like as much as this one. As much as I hate not being able to open it, I'm sure I would buy this again if I needed one.

Had my cover for 4 months now and I love it. The artic white is a dead match to Fords oxford white. It takes a little fiddling to get the gaps right on the frame but other than that the installation is pretty simple. It looks great, works beautifully and after 5-6 trips through the car wash it is dry except for a few dribbles down the tailgate inside. My only suggestion would be to round the hinge pins to make the panel removal/install a little easier.

POSITIVE: I am very happy with the cover quality, how it performs, how it looks on my Honda Ridgeline. In fact, it looks like it was custom made for my truck. I have not been through a heavy gulf coast rain yet, nor did I install the tailgate seal, so I cannot speak to potential leaks. Given the quality of the panels and rollers, I expect the cover to last a very long time. It is clear that the customer service at Peragon will stand by their products and are willing to provide helpful answers and solutions. A rarity these days. Although it cost more than many of the alternatives, based on quality and ease of use, to me it was worth the cost. In sum, I highly recommend the Peragon Tonneau cover.

IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED: The number of spacers (washers) is vague and nor particularly well explained. Seems it is all trial and error, and it is a hassle to add or subtract washers. Peragon needs some add real measurements (centimeters, inches or washer numbers) in the instructions for the various truck beds where their product gets installed. In the final stages of the instal the instructions suggest getting a friend to push up on the cover near the locking mechanism to fully close the cover. In those instructions I strongly suggest wording be added to the effect, "a small friend". My wife, who is 5 foot tall and 93 pounds could do it, but anyone much larger would have a time of it..

Thank you for your feedback! Because we do not have a permanent canister taking up space, some space is required for the cover to fold down. A cargo hook is a great tool for pulling cargo from the front of the bed without having to crawl underneath to get it out. This then allows you to use every square inch, but still get your cargo out!

I bought a Peragon cover to protect & lock up my work PPE gear when I travel from station to station. I also need to be able to access all of my truck bed. Lastly, I needed a cover that works with my 5th wheel...one that doesn’t flip up, rest and block my rear window. This cover can comes off in seconds if needed. It’s looks awesome and doesn’t rattle.

Shipped extremely fast to California. MY ISSUE: When arrived, there was a small dent on the end of the cover. So.... Peragon sent me a whole new cover within days! No questions asked! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! American made. Thank you!!!!

When I saw there was something different on the bed cover scene, I got real interested. So I ordered one. The quality is great. The look is great. The installation is a little tedious, but ok. I have always had a Bak Flip type cover on previous trucks and I can install one in my sleep. I had to really pay attention to this one and the installation videos are great.

I use my bed a lot. I keep a pretty good size plastic tub in the bed and the cover provides great security. Since this design was new to me and had not seen one first hand, there are a couple of issues I did not consider. First, the lock is up near the front of the bed. A little inconvenient if trying to open and close a lot. My biggest issue is that the ramp where the panels drop down consumes about 18” of bed length. That means you cannot put anything over about 3” tall under the ramp without restricting the opening of the cover. So if you slide something fairly heavy towards the front of the bed, you have to pull it clear of the ramp to open the cover. That means unless the cargo has a rope or something to pull it out with, you have to crawl in under the cover and pull it out. Not insurmountable, but challenging if you forget about it and your cargo has slid towards the front of the bed. If you have an 8’ bed it will be real challenging.

These are my issues and do not reflect an inferior product, just some obstacles for the way I use my truck. Otherwise, a very nice piece, and Made in the USA!

After sitting for a few weeks in the box, we finally had a rainy day in Florida and it was time to tackle installation. Overall, I give the ease of installation a nine out of a ten but that’s only because I’m such a stickler for detail and took me longer than most. There were a couple steps that could’ve used a diagram to clarify but overall, it was all good!
It’s been less than 24 hours since install and I’m leaving it closed until later this evening. It seems snug but they say that’s normal and that was confirmed after watching the last video. Without question, one of the best pieces of advice in the video was do not force operation. That was the best advice I could’ve received through installation.
The videos are awesome and in combination with the manual they made it as easy as possible to install.
It looks incredible and sleek and adds to the already good looks of my Tacoma. More importantly, I believe it’s going to get the job done protecting cargo in the bed of my truck.
