What's the best tonneau cover for a Sierra 2500?

Sierra HD buyers tend to be the ones who tow long and often: a Denali 2500 with a fifth-wheel camper every weekend, an AT4 3500 with a gooseneck to the ranch. The hitch lives in the bed, so the best tonneau cover for a Sierra 2500 is one that closes low over it and gets out of the way fast. Sierra HD bed cover fitment by model and year

Every Sierra 2500 and 3500 since 1988 takes a Landmark on either bed. The Tectonic starts at 2015 and fits the standard bed only, 6'6" through 2019 and 6'10" from 2020, never the 8-foot.

What's the best tonneau cover for a GMC Sierra 2500?

For most Sierra 2500 owners, the Landmark retractable, because the truck tows from the bed and the Landmark sits low and retracts clear. Pick the Tectonic hard tri-fold if your 2015 or newer Sierra HD carries more than it tows and you want a load on top. Both are solid aluminum and key-locking. The 8-foot bed is Landmark only.

Will a bed cover fit my Sierra 2500 with a bed liner?

Spray-in liners are fine with either cover. A plastic drop-in liner has to be cut where the Tectonic clamps on a Sierra HD. If you have a drop-in liner and want a Landmark, call us at 877-473-7246 or use live chat before you order and we'll check your truck.

Can I use a tonneau cover on a Sierra HD with a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch?

Nearly every Sierra HD leaves the factory with the gooseneck and fifth-wheel prep package. Landmark sits low in the bed, which is why we point Sierra HD owners who tow to it. Which bed lengths does the Sierra HD come in, and how do I measure mine?

Two, and the standard one changed in 2020. Through 2019 the Sierra HD standard bed is 6'6"; from 2020 it's 6'10". The long bed is 8 feet on every year. Inside, front wall to closed tailgate: 6'6" measures about 79 inches, 6'10" about 82, the 8-foot about 98. Pick the closest on the year page.

How long does it take to install a bed cover on a Sierra 2500? Do I have to drill?

Neither cover drills the Sierra HD bed. The Tectonic clamps on in about 30 minutes. The Landmark takes 2 to 3 hours and clamps on with QuickClamps; the 2020 and newer 8-foot kit includes a 6-inch ramp adjustment bolt. The install video for your year is on its year page.

Does it fit the Sierra HD with the MultiPro tailgate?

Denali, AT4 and the HD trims share the standard Sierra HD bed, so they use the same cover as any 2500 or 3500 of that year and bed. Every Sierra HD bed is steel; CarbonPro was never offered on the HD. Both covers work with the MultiPro tailgate.
