What's the best tonneau cover for a Silverado 2500?

A Silverado 2500 or 3500 is bought to pull: a gooseneck stock trailer, a fifth-wheel camper, a skid steer on a deck-over. The bed carries the hitch. The best tonneau cover for a Silverado 2500 has to work with that hitch. If you tow from the bed, the Landmark retractable is the one. Landmark fits the Silverado 2500 and 3500 back to 1988 on every bed. Tectonic fits 2015 and newer on the standard bed: 6'6" through 2019, 6'10" from 2020. Neither Tectonic fits the 8-foot.

What's the best tonneau cover for a Chevy Silverado 2500?

Landmark if you tow with a fifth-wheel or gooseneck, because it sits low and retracts into the bed. Tectonic if you want to carry gear on top of a 2015 or newer Silverado HD with the standard bed. Both are solid aluminum, key-locking and built in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. Only Landmark fits the 8-foot bed.

Will a bed cover fit my Silverado 2500 with a bed liner?

Spray-in liners are fine with either cover. Plastic drop-in liners need to be modified for a Tectonic on the Silverado HD. Which bed lengths does the Silverado HD come in, and how do I measure mine?

Two. The standard bed is 6'6" through 2019 and 6'10" from 2020; the long bed is 8 feet throughout. Measure inside from the front wall to the inside of the closed tailgate: about 79 inches is the 6'6", about 82 is the 6'10", about 98 is the 8-foot. Pick the closest on the year page.

How long does it take to install a bed cover on a Silverado 2500? Do I have to drill?

No drilling on either cover. Tectonic goes on in about 30 minutes with the clamps in the box. Landmark takes 2 to 3 hours and uses no-drill QuickClamps on the Silverado HD; the 2020 and newer 8-foot kit includes a 6-inch ramp adjustment bolt. The install video for your year is on its year page.

Does it fit the Silverado 2500 with the Multi-Flex tailgate?

High Country and ZR2 share the standard HD bed, so they use the same cover as any 2500 or 3500 of that year and bed. Both covers work with the Multi-Flex tailgate on 2024 and newer HD trucks.
