Install Video 9 – Final Ramp Adjustment and Gas Spring Installation

With the cover operating smoothly we’ll recheck the ramp alignment using the ramp adjustment bolt as needed. To move the ramps in or out so that there’s full contact between the short bearing and the ramps. You want the bearing to ride more to the inside edge of the ramp while still making full contact. With the ramps in their final position tighten the jam nut. Now we’ll install your gas springs. When installing your gas springs make sure that the gas spring end is up attached to the panel with the ram end down attached to your ramp. This is important because there’s oil in your cylinder and you want to keep the oil down around the inner seal to keep it lubricated. Then repeat the process on the other side.
