Install Video 10 – Finishing the Install

When you pull your cover closed for the first time you may notice that your locking panel does not come up all the way. This is because your seals are new and stiff and they need to be broken in. To help expedite the break-in process of the seals we recommend that you push up from underneath. Before you push up check the gas spring head on either side and make sure that it clears the front mounting clamp leg. If you find that it comes into contact with that leg loosen your clamp from both the Peragon rail and your truck rail. Slide the clamp out of the way and then retighten with the gas springs clearing the front mounting clamps. You can then push up from underneath and have a friend lock it. We do recommend locking the cover for about 24 to 48 hours. We hope these videos were helpful. If you have additional questions please reach out to us. We’re happy to help and we hope you enjoy your Peragon truck bed cover.
