Peragon Retractable Tonneau Pickup Truck Bed Cover Reviews

If you are mechanically inclined, the Peragon bed cover has infinite adjustment! It fits perfect! Nice & snug on the bed & tailgate. Opens & closes very smooth. I'm very picky on how things fit & work properly! Very well engineered, I would recommend Peragon bed covers to anyone who wants a great fit & finish, thanks Rick Zamora for a great product made in the USA!!!

The install instructions are very well thought out and have several QR codes you can scan to jump to a video to help with the install if needed. A+

The product itself is packaged well and seems very well made. I measured several times to make sure it was squared up to the bed as best I could. Mine doesnt open as well as the one in their videos, but maybe there is a wear in period and will get better in time. Overall I’d still grade it well. A

The Peragon is exactly as advertised. The following comments are not meant to downgrade my evaluation, but hopefully help others.
1. Installation was not straight forward. It required un-installing, re-installing, multiple nut loosening and re-adjustments. Main issue was where I had installed the ramps vs. sliding the bolt into the rail. The ramp was in the way so had to un-install, remove ramp, slide bolt in rail, install ramp and install system. If your cover doesn't operate smoothly, loosen nuts, raise rails slightly, check front-to-back width, repeat until smooth operation.
2. The cover wouldn't "snap" into the right side of the front cross-member. I had to slightly bend the silver piece to get the system to seat properly. Yes, I was properly seated on the left side with the pin in the hole.
3. Side rail alignment was not straight forward. It took several iterations to get it right, requiring loosening of nuts and re-tightening.
4. The side rails sit mostly inside your bed rails. The cover side rails will reduce your bed opening slightly.
5. The side rails are fairly light weight (which is what we want, right?). If you bump into them too hard, grab onto them when falling, etc., they will bend.
6. Once I got the system to open and close easily, then the lock wouldn't engage. Had to do some fenagling (still not sure what finally fixed it) to get the lock bars to engage. With system installed, I can't see where they are supposed to engage, so that made it more difficult.
7. I've seen a lot of reviews/complaints of leakage. Through a car was, they do leak slightly. I'm sure it will get worse as they get older. I did not expect a hermetic seal so doesn't bother me too much. Maybe the website oversells the "keep stuff dry" aspect.
8. I installed the cover over a 5th wheel hitch. It fit which is one of my main reasons for purchase. You can remove the cover part entirely, but it's not necessary to remove the cover to use the hitch, at least with my hitch/5th wheel combination.
9. The long strap does get irritating, but I knew it was there and was willing to get irritated :). Kind of like marriage! You make your choices..
10. Love the low profile and the appearance of the installed cover. Once adjusted, works easily. I like that it can be closed/locked, opened yet still see out rear window, and can be removed for longer/larger loads in truck bed.
** Vehicle details which may have exacerbated my installation: plastic truck bed rail tops, bed rug, including up the sides of the bed. **

Ran the truck through the car wash and the bed stayed dry.

Recommend this product to anyone wanting a truck bed cover.

Bought this cover in 2012 for my 2011 Ford Ranger XLT. I had one hinge break through the years and lost a rear channel plug over the years. Both items replaced in a very timely manner. Great Customer service.Cover is still in great shape.

We haven't had this more than a year and the wheels on the first two panels on this cover broke off on both sides! There isn't any way to fix it since they're welded onto the panels. Expensive tonneau, but the quality is not great. VERY disappointed!!

Between the installation videos and instructions it took less than 2 hours and probably could be much less but I was taking my time and was in no rush.
I was skeptical about how much more this cover was then other and would the extra cost compared to others in the market be good return on my investment… However once installed it was totally worth it and I knew I had made the right choice, no cheap China knock off and is American made.
Do your self a favor and treat yourself and your truck to the finest quality bed cover on the market!!!!

Great bed cover and fast shipping. Instructions are thorough and the videos help clarify step by step instructions. Took me a little longer than most but I’m a perfectionist so I wanted to take my time and get it right the first time. Even utilized my truck’s pre installed rails making installation easy.

Installation was super easy and straight forward. Took about 30-45 minutes if you watch the videos ahead of time. Ordered on Thursday got it Monday. Works well with fifth wheel hitches. Turned some heads at the boat ramp! Get product.

WOW!!! Peragon customer service went above and beyond to deliver me some parts to repair my cover! I cant thank them enough! I had a small issue with sagging before a big vacation, and it had been raining quite a bit in south Texas, and was concerned with water intrusion on my luggage. Customer service stepped right up and got me the parts right before my big vacation with my kids! THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN!

Excellent design, easy installation, great fit and finish, very snug but easy to retract. Zero rattles.

I’ve had a little over a month now and pretty happy with the product, here in the PNW we get a lot rain and it does what it’s designed to do and over happy with the product.

Great product so far.... only one issue it leaks more than I expected.

When something moves to the front of bed you can't open it so you can't use your bed completely

Awesome sleek design from peragon. It turned out better than I expected. I got the ultimate package and the locks on both rails are definitely worth it over the base package. It’s is very easy to use and take out. Took a little longer on the install then expected but what doesn’t these days. If you are looking for a stylish and lighter bed cover that is versatile this is the one for you!

This bedcover exceeded my expectations. Once adjusted properly it sealed my bed completely. Installation was pretty simple. The hexhead for the bed screws was included. I think all that was not was a 3/8 and 7/16 wrench. Excellent product.
