How to Find Your Paint Code

The paint code for all Chevy cars and trucks are located on the service parts identification sticker which can be found in the glove box. Most trucks will start out with a "BC/CC U". BC/CC stands for basecoat/clearcoat, and the U stands for upper or body color. A two-toned truck will have a "U" followed by the four digit color code for the body color, and an "L" followed by a four digit color code for the lower color or the bumper color.
Dodge Paint Codes may be in two places. Check in the driver side door jamb on the safety certification label for the paint code first. A typical Dodge paint code is three digits long, starts with the letter P, and may contain both letters and numbers. Examples are below.
2007-2008 All Models: Inside Driver side Door Jamb
Dakota: On Floor Behind Passenger Seat, Cab Back panel; front passenger floor pan
Full Pickup: On Floor Behind Passenger Seat
Ram Truck: In Front of Radiator (Passenger Side), Behind Battery, Floor Pan under Passenger seat
Ford paint codes are almost always in the driver side door jamb or the door edge. The color codes are two digits and consist of numbers and/or letters.
All paint codes for all Honda models are located in the driver side door jam. The highlighted part displays the color code. These codes can contain both letters, dashes, and numbers.
Lincoln paint codes are almost always in the driver side door jamb or the door edge. The color codes are two digits and consist of numbers and/or letters.
Mazda Paint Codes are two or three digits long and contains letters and numbers. While the majority of the paint codes are going to be located in the door jamb, the second best place to check is on the firewall.
All paint codes are located in the driver side door jam or on the passenger side firewall. The highlighted part displays the color code. These codes can contain both letters, dashes, and numbers.
All Nissan paint color codes are three digits long and may contain letters and numbers. Occasionally you may see the paint code followed by a small space and a fourth digit which you may omit. The labels are located either on the driver's side door jamb, door edge or door pillar.
Suzuki paint codes are three digits and contain both letters and numbers look for a small metal plate. If examining the firewall for your paint code also look on the side by the fender wall close to the firewall. Possible locations: Firewall, Fenderwall, Glovebox, Radiator, Door edge, or door Jamb
All paint codes for all Toyota models are located in the driver side door jam. The paint codes are 3 digits long and can contain both letters and numbers. The C/TR is where the exterior color code starts.
