We use EPDM rubber seals designed for extreme temperatures and sun. It's the same material used for the window and door seals on your truck. If accidentally damaged, the seals are replaceable.

All parts of the cover have carefully engineered weather seals; however, our truck bed cover is not waterproof. No retractable or folding cover is. If your truck is parked in the rain, water will find its way into the bed - primarily along the edges and around the tailgate. Items like electronics or tools that could be damaged by moisture should have secondary protection. When you’re driving, water does not sit on the cover so you’ll get little or no leakage.

When choosing a cover, weigh all the factors. The versatility of a retractable cover outweighs any limitation - especially when you consider how easy it is to manage any water leakage. Simply storing your tow rope, jumper cables and other gear in Rubbermaid style totes prevents water from being an issue at all.

Our cover was engineered and tested in the bitter cold of northern Minnesota. The canister on other retractable covers tends to fill with ice or snow and freeze. We prevent that by smart design without a canister. Other covers use vinyl or plastic that becomes brittle in sub-zero conditions. Our solid aluminum is completely unaffected.
